Include the across-flats size in every rental enquiry

For TX and TXU systems, the combination of drive unit, cassette group and across-flats size determines the correct pressure-to-torque relationship. A single maximum model torque is insufficient to select a specific cassette. Always specify the actual across-flats size.

Consider cassette size and lever arm

Different cassette groups have different effective lever arms. As a result, torque values differ at the same hydraulic pressure. We check the required version against the relevant documentation and the rental tool's individual calibration chart.

Check clearance and reaction support together

Photos or a drawing showing axial space, lateral clearances, stud projection and a possible reaction surface are helpful. A catalogue dimension labelled radius does not automatically describe the entire clearance required around the bolt centre. The particular cassette must suit the installation conditions.
